Victor Fallon Macal Guerra
Victor Fallon Macal Guerra is a student at LUCA School of Arts in Brussels, Belgium, with exploratory practice in diverse visual arts, including installations, painting, drawing, and printmaking. Belgian and Salvadoran, he has closely followed the Río Sumpul Massacre Memorial project since 2018, witnessing key moments such as testimonies, the foundation of the Asociación Sumpul [Sumpul Association], and the project's development. His artistic work often addresses past and present violence, engaging with art history and various expressive approaches. In 2024, he actively contributed to the setup of the “Un 14 de Mayo” exhibition at Centro Cultural de España [Cultural Center of Spain] in San Salvador and “The Sumpul River Massacre Memorial” at KADOC in Belgium. His current work at LUCA (2024-2025) focuses on installations—such as phantom hammocks—and drawings, exploring the shareable evocation of massacres and violence during the Salvadoran Civil War.
