Valentina Rodriguez Barragan
Valentina Rodriguez Barragan is studying Kinesiology and Spanish at Western University (Canada) and hopes to pursue Dentistry. Rodríguez Barragán joined the collaborative research initiative Surviving Memory because of her passion for contributing to projects that document and preserve critical historical narratives. She values the interdisciplinary approach of the initiative, which brings together survivors, scholars and community leaders to shed light on El Salvador's Civil War (1980-1992) and prevent future acts of violence. Her Colombian heritage inspires her to delve deeper into Latin American history and culture. In her free time, Rodríguez Barragán enjoys reading, volunteering and seeking opportunities to create meaningful connections and make a difference.
