Oscar Armando Jorge Deodanes

Oscar Deodanes holds a bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of El Salvador and is currently pursuing a PhD in Physical Sciences at the same institution, as part of the Regional Doctoral Program in Physical Sciences. His research focuses on the synthesis and characterization of semiconductor quantum dots (group II–VI of the periodic table) for LED device applications, as well as the synthesis and characterization of metallic nanoparticles.

He has published scientific articles in national and international indexed journals and authored book chapters with publishers specializing in nanotechnology and nanoscience. He has also presented experimental results at nationally and internationally significant conferences, receiving various recognitions for his contributions to scientific and technological development.

In addition, he is an active member of the Indigenous Association of Ancestral Peoples (AIPAN), through which he promotes cultural preservation and the revalorization of Indigenous peoples. In his free time, he nurtures his passion for Andean Latin American music as a member of the Latin American Music Group “Tonattiuh,” with which he has released an album available on digital platforms.
