Omar Poulsey

Born in London, Ontario, Omar has been a part of Western for over the last four years. Since graduating from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies and Sports Business, Omar has worked at the Ivey Business School and Western University. In the Fall of 2025, Omar finished the Master’s in Media Studies program at Western University. With a powerful connection between creative storytelling and community building, Omar's interests lie in cinematography and the creative arts. Omar’s strong affiliation with the London, Ontario community has led to the development of his IRCP titled “Mapping the Caribbean in London, Ontario”. Omar is thrilled to be part of Surviving Memory, an impactful project that pairs his interests in creative storytelling with community engagement.
