Camila Fallon Macal Guerra

Camila Fallon Macal Guerra is a student at KU Leuven Faculty of Architecture in Belgium, with a strong interest in drawing and the cultural communication of architecture through exhibition and publication design. Belgian and Salvadoran, she has closely followed the Río Sumpul Memorial project since 2018, witnessing testimonies, the foundation of the Asociación Sumpul [Sumpul Association], and the project's evolution. In 2022-2023, she completed a professional internship at BAST Architects (France), where she explored material scarcity in architecture and contributed to the graphical production of the office’s first major publication (2G). She also collaborated with CIVA, the Centre for Information, Documentation and Exhibitions on the city, architecture, landscape, and urban planning in Brussels, helping organize the exhibitions “Power” and “Simone Guillissen-Hoa”. Her work has been published in multiple issues of the LucAs Book series of KU Leuven’s Faculty of Architecture. In 2024, she played an active role as a scenographer for the “Un 14 de Mayo” exhibition at Centro Cultural de España [Cultural Center of Spain] in San Salvador and “The Río Sumpul Massacre Memorial” at KADOC in Belgium, co-designing the accompanying publications.
