MARITHZA ANDAGOYA

Born and raised in Ecuador, Marithza was part of the Surviving Memory in Postwar El Salvador project since its inception. From 2017 to 2019, she assisted with the on-site facilitation of workshops, and the transcription, proofreading and translation of research material. She translated the project’s website and the subtitles for the documentary film Norberto Amaya [Songwriter]; and collaborated with other team members to finalize the community book Memoria Viva. Marithza currently serves as the Coordinator of the Postwar El Salvador project. Her professional experience includes 10 years of radio production in Ecuador, several years of learning facilitation in developing countries and the coordination of the master’s program in Cuba at the US-based organization, Development Associates International. Marithza holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Media and Broadcasting (University of Northwestern, Minnesota, USA), a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership (Azusa Pacific University, California, USA), and a Master’s degree in Hispanic Studies (Western University).

Josué Hernandez

Josué was born in San Salvador, the third of three brothers. He is a son, a husband and a friend. He is restless by birth, and a questioner by choice. He is currently an entrepreneur, owner of Quality Transport, and constantly learning and searching for the best business practices to be able to assist people through his work as a transport and tourism operator in El Salvador. He is committed building a better country and showing the best version of what we are as a Salvadoran society. Josue is the Salvadoran transportation coordinator for “Surviving Memory in Postwar El Salvador, accompanying our research team and delegations during field work in El Salvador.

Carly Marsh

Carly is an interactive multimedia designer, including everything from graphic design to web development to database programming. She attended Post  Secondary school in London, Ontario, where studied Media, Information, and Technoculture at Western University, and received a diploma in Interactive Multimedia Design from Fanshawe College. She currently is working as a web developer and graphic designer in her hometown at her local radio station. Carly is also interested in animal welfare, human rights, politics, and letting people on Facebook know when they've shared an article with inaccurate information about any of those subjects (which is a lot). When she's not behind a computer screen working or arguing, you'll find her doing the opposite, arguing with people in real life, travelling, going to live concerts and shows, and trying out vegan restaurants in every city she visits.

Giles Whitaker

Giles Whitaker is a graphic designer and artist, with backgrounds in both science and visual arts. As a designer, he specializes in the presentation of complex information via diagrams, infographics and illustrations, which have been published as part of articles in various scientific journals. He works in the Faculty of Science at the University of Western Ontario (London, Ontario) and on various freelance projects. As an artist, his work includes interactive and generative code-based artworks, audio artworks, photography and digital paintings of various types. He is currently working on a series of diagrammatic paintings based on Jungian psychoanalytic theory. His work has been exhibited in art galleries and museums in Canada and New Zealand.
